Why Choose GMI for Your OPG
Our OPG unit will meet all your dental imaging requirements.
Garran Medical Imaging boasts a class leading digital OPG and Cephalometric machine which provides excellent image quality and utilises cutting edge “one-shot” cephalometric technology with high quality panoramic imaging.
Our OPG machine also offers an Automatic Landmark Tracing feature for cephalostats.
OPG stands for orthopantomogram and is a special x-ray of the teeth, jaws and lower face. An OPG provides a panoramic x-ray of the above-mentioned areas. OPG uses x-rays to obtain the images.

These are a type of ionising radiation that are produced by the machine to allow images to be taken. These x-rays pass through the teeth and jaw in varying amounts, depending on the type of tissue that they interact with. A digital detector receives the x-rays and converts them into an image.
