Joseph graduated with honours from the University of NSW in 2000 and was also awarded a Master of Public Health from the University of Sydney in 2002. He undertook radiology training at Concord Hospital in Sydney followed by further fellowship training at Westmead Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

He is currently appointed as a Senior Visiting Medical Officer at Concord Hospital in Sydney where he established and has been the director of the cardiac MRI service since 2009, working in close collaboration with the cardiology department of the hospital. He is certified as a Senior Supervisor in Cardiac MRI with RANZCR and has supervised multiple cardiac imaging fellows.
